Kleine Revolutie Producties presenteert:

The New York to Pittsburgh and Back Dutch Poetry Tour

In april reizen de dichters Pieter Boskma, Hélène Gelèns, Erik Jan Harmens, Lucas Hirsch, John Schoorl en Joost Zwagerman af naar New York en Pittsburgh om Amerikaanse poëzieliefhebbers in aanraking te laten komen met de bloeiende diversiteit van de Nederlandse poëzie. De dichters, allen sterk geïnspireerd door de Amerikaanse literatuur, onderzoeken waarom de invloed hiervan op hun poëzie zo groot is. Gelijktijdig proberen ze een antwoord te vinden op de vraag of Nederlandse poëzie ook Amerikaanse dichters kan beïnvloeden.

• Dinsdag 17 en woensdag 18 april 2012: City of Asylum, Pittsburgh
• Donderdag 19 april 2012: The Netherlands Club of New York, New York
• Vrijdag 20 en zaterdag 21 april 2012:  Ledig House, Omi (New York)

De dichters zullen onder andere door middel van columns in landelijke dagbladen, blogs en twitter het thuisfront op de hoogte houden van deze unieke trip. Het Amerikaanse literair tijdschrift Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing publiceert in juni 2012 vertaald werk van de Nederlandse dichters die deelnemen aan deze toer.

Deze toer wordt mogelijk gemaakt door steun van het Nederlands Consulaat in New York (Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken), LIRA en het Nederlands Letterenfonds.

Kleine Revolutie Producties presents:

The New York to Pittsburgh and Back Dutch Poetry Tour

In April 2012, six Dutch poets will be showcasing poetry in Dutch and English at a number of venues across New York and Pittsburgh. The American audience will have the opportunity to experience the variety and richness of contemporary Dutch poetry.  Pieter Boskma, Hélène Gelèns, Erik Jan Harmens, Lucas Hirsch, John Schoorl and Joost Zwagerman who will present their pieces, have all been hugely influenced by American poets and novelists. Whilst in the USA they will be exploring why and the ways in which they have been influenced by American literature in their own writing to discuss whether contemporary American poetry can also be influenced by Dutch poetry.
